02/21/12 Update

Well the start of our season has come and gone leaving in it's wake some very interesting facts. One of these is the preparation level of our riders under some unique circumstances (which I will discuss a little later) and another is the weather conditions that we encountered this last weekend. It was not the rain Saturday that was so special, but the weather in Dallas during the 3 years that the race has been held in the new Jerry Jones Super Stadium. The team was not there in the second year of competition, as we were in Europe preparing for the World Motocross GPs. I think the weather was the typical dry hot (for this time of year), which can be considered normal in the scheme of things for Texas. The first and third outings are what will make you want to question the normality of this event. The first event was normal Texas weather the days leading up to the event and then "Wham", Saturday a freak snow and ice storm that defied reason. Then you have this year, where there was rain up until a few days before the event along with a forecast that was positive for Saturday's event. At the last minute the weather changed and we had a day filled with rain, rain and more rain. One can only speculate that maybe Jerry should have spent a couple measly million more and built a covered and enclosed pit area for his Supercross fans.

This year's depth of competition in both classes has to be the deepest in recent years. It is with this thought in mind that I have to say that our riders not only have been putting in the required preseason training necessary, but showed that they are willing to put it on the line to get to the next level in their personal racing goals. Did they win the race? "NO" Did they do as well as they hoped to? "NO" Did they have fun and lay down a hard fought effort against some tough odds? "YES" Did this effort make the staff and sponsors of TiscoRacing happy and proud? "YES" The team wants to give Michael and Ozzy a huge "THANK YOU" for keeping it real. You can't win a season the first round but you can certainly loss one. Everyone is healthy and looking forward to the next event in Atlanta.

The suite that we had for the evening's event was overflowing with not only our sponsors and friends, but also our entire amateur team. Even though only two of the four are healthy at this time, they were all there having fun and envisioning themselves on the floor of the stadium in just a few short years. With their desire and attitude, TiscoRacing looks to be in a position to keep growing and having fun for years to come.

I saw some of you in our pits this last weekend despite the rain and want to say thanks for stopping by. For the ones of you that didn't make the event or just decided to stay in the stadium and keep dry, please stop by TiscoRacing.com and stay abreast of all the exciting things that the team is involved with, along with our weekly results. Also let everyone know that you can be a member of TiscoRacing.com absolutely "Free", so there is no reason to not treat yourself too a little free entertainment.
