02/21/12 UpdateWell the start of our season has come and gone leaving in it's wake some very interesting facts. One of these is the preparation level of our riders under some unique circumstances (which I will discuss a little later) and another is the weather conditions that we encountered this last weekend. It was not the rain Saturday that was so special, but the weather in Dallas during the 3 years that the race has been held in the new Jerry Jones Super Stadium. The team was not there in the second year of competition, as we were in Europe preparing for the World Motocross GPs. I think the weather was the typical dry hot (for this time of year), which can be considered normal in the scheme of things for Texas. The first and third outings are what will make you want to question the normality of this event. The first event was normal Texas weather the days leading up to the event and then "Wham", Saturday a freak snow and ice storm that defied reason. Then you have this year, where there was rain up until a few days before the event along with a forecast that was positive for Saturday's event. At the last minute the weather changed and we had a day filled with rain, rain and more rain. One can only speculate that maybe Jerry should have spent a couple measly million more and built a covered and enclosed pit area for his Supercross fans.
02/07/12 UpdateWhen one runs a sprint, things normally happen very fast and is over equally as fast. Not so with this past week, as we had to sprint through several days of practice to beat the impending rains, shuffle rapidly to get some deadlined projects completed and quickly push through equipment issues that have been rearing their nasty heads lately. Even though things were at warp speed most of the time, the total week seemed to happen in a stand still fashion. In this way we were able to savior all aspects of our challenges.

Add a comment 01/17/12 UpdateLast week was one that consisted of a little of everything and even after a lot of breakdowns and problems, it turned out to be one of the most productive weeks in recent history. As I have mentioned before, Michael has been really stepping his game up. This weekend really was a showcase of what he has accomplished. He not only made the night programs on Friday and Saturday nights, but showed that he has upped his racing intensity. Saturday during qualifying he was fastest in his group 3 out of 4 practices. He had a regular dogfight in the lites heat race where he started 5th or 6th and finished 3rd. It would have been easy to settle in a safe qualifying position, but that doesn't make you better. The team and myself are extremely happy with what we are seeing in Michael.

02/14/12 UpdateThe more things seem to change, the more they really stay the same. In the case of Tisco Racing this last week, this is what we experienced. The weather started off like it was going to be great, but as the week progressed things started to winterize on us. The same scenario with our race bikes during testing, the riders were all over with combinations and settings, but as the speeds picked up we were back to the combinations and settings that were great last week. This just goes to show that when you have a good thing going, it is very hard to make drastic changes and still have a workable package.

01/31/12 UpdateWeather, Practicing and Racing. These were the major topics that were addressed last week. The weather played a ugly trick on the team's new Supercross Track after only practicing on it twice. About 6'' of rain fell over night, well you get the picture and it was not pretty. On a brighter note, the practice sessions were great even though we had to cram a lot of stuff into a short amount of time (to beat the weather). The racing was the highlight of the week, as Michael and 2.5 members of our amateur team competed (will explain later in the report). There were some very good results and a whole lot of fun, which is right up Tisco Racing's alley.
01/24/12 UpdateThis week was one filled with highs and lows, but it ended with only one thing that we couldn't fix or replace on the spot. This item was one of our amateur riders, Drake Dunlap, who fell and dislocated his shoulder while preparing for this coming weekend's Arenacross Race in Cedar Park, Texas. The main thing is the fact that he is doing fine and hopes to return to action shortly.
01/10/12 UpdateGood seeing everyone back this week, checking out what is happening in the Tisco Racing World. Everyone is excited and very busy preparing for this coming weekend's AMA Arenacross race in Topeka, Kansas. There is also some major construction going on at the Springtown Training Facility as we are currently rebuilding the S/X track.
